We facilitate investment projects

We are the contact point for local and international investors. We promote Argentina as an investment destination, identifying opportunities and promoting niche sectors. We assist investors when arriving in a new country, by providing key information to develop their businesses, simplifying processes, eliminating bureaucratic obstacles, and acting as a bridge with different areas of the State to make this path more efficient.

The main functions of the Board of Directors include ensuring that the agency's mission and objectives are fulfilled, and appointing the Chairman.

The chairmanship comprises the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA) as well as other positions represented by the Argentine Confederation of Medium Enterprises (CAME); the Argentine Association of Importers and Exporters (AIERA); the Secretariat for International Economic and Financial Affairs of the Ministry of Economy; the Secretariat for Trade and International Economic Relations of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship; the Investment and Foreign Trade Bank (BICE) and the Argentine Chamber of Importers (CIRA). The Board is also integrated by other members, such as the Argentine Rural Society (SRA); the Argentine Federation of Foreign Trade Chambers (FECACERA); the Argentine Chamber of Exporters (CERA); the Argentine General Business Confederation (CGERA); the Secretariat of Industry and Productive Development of the Ministry of Economy; the Secretariat of Agriculture, Livestock and Fisheries of the Ministry of Economy; the Ministry of Science, Technology and Productive Innovation; the Undersecretariat for the Promotion of Trade and Investment of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, International Trade and Worship; the Department of Development Planning and the Federal Competitiveness of the Ministry of Economy; the Bank of the Argentine Nation (BNA); the Ministry of Tourism and Sports; the Association of Argentine Entrepreneurs (ASEA); and the State Assets Administration Agency (AABE).

Horacio Martínez


Dr. Martínez chairs the Board of Directors of the Argentine Investment and International Trade Promotion Agency (AAICI). He is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Argentine Industrial Union (UIA), and of the Social Policy Department of that trade union association.


He is also a representative of the Men's Network for Equality of UN Argentina, full member of the Argentine Council of Adjustable Minimum Living Wage, Chairman of the Health Insurance for Managerial Staff of the Metallurgical Industry and other Business Activities (OSIM), Vice Chairman of the Worldwide Ferry Safety Association.


In addition, he is an active member of several organizations such as the Executive Committee of the Federation of the Argentine Naval Industry (F.I.N.A.), the Executive Committee of the Argentine Group of Specialists in Labor Relations, Grupo Bologna, Castilla la Mancha, Turin, and the Board of Directors of the Argentine Association of Metallurgical Industrialists (ADIMRA)

Julián Cohen


Julián Cohen holds a BA in Economics from the Universidad de Buenos Aires. He also holds an MBA in Finances and Entrepreneurship from the London Business School, a PAD (Programa de Alta Dirección) degree from the IAE Business School and a DEP (Director de Empresas Profesional) degree from the Instituto de Gobernanza Empresarial Pública (IGEP, member of the Global Network of Director Institutes) . He is a Fellow of the Risk Management Centre at the IAE Business School.
He held various roles at Grupo Cohen, where he served as CEO from 2009 to 2017. He has also worked for Merrill Lynch in London.

He is a member of the Buenos Aires Stock Exchange, serving as Board Member from 2015 to April 2018. He was a member of the Mercado de Valores de Buenos Aires SA (BYMA) Board of Directors.


From May 2018 to December 2019, he served as Under-Secretary of Economic Development for the Buenos Aires City Government, developing policies aimed at promoting comprehensive economic development and fostering productive and sustainable activity in strategic areas.
Since 2020 he is a Partner at AvantLab, a HealthTech Startup Accelerator.


He has been a Member of the Advisory Board in several companies, including Think Thanks and UpSide Risks. He has also sat on the Advisory Boards of startups such as Ilow, Front, Money on Chain and Alex Coffee Roasters.
