Argentine companies were present in the first online health fair
Omnia Health Live, the first virtual event in the health industry, which took place from June 22nd to 26th, included 17 national SMEs.
Buenos Aires, June 29th, 2020. A delegation of 17 companies specialized in medical products and services from all over the country, such as Buenos Aires, Santa Fe, Cordoba and the City of Buenos Aires, was present at Omnia Health Live 2020, thanks to the support of the Argentine Investment and Trade Promotion Agency (AAICI), and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
For 5 days, the Argentine SMEs held business meetings with potential buyers and established connections with their counterparts interested in their medical products and services. This important international event also gave them the opportunity to create new business bonds and explore new markets.
Within this framework, discussions and panels also took place on many industry-related subjects, such as artificial intelligence and robotics, the role of blockchains for COVID-19 response and recovery and telemedicine, among others.
The Argentine delegation was formed by Dermacor, Apexar Technologies, Jotatec, PS ANESTHESIA, Laboratorios DIRAL, Hybrid of Sport, Histo, CARDIOTECNICA, Riasa, INVESTIGACIONES Y DESARROLLOS ARG., Grupo Promex, Dalmasso Pablo Daniel, RAYOS PIMAX, PATEJIM, INSTRUMENTAL BIOQUIMICO, BIOLENE and Silmag.
In 2019, the industry’s national exports reached USD 59 million, mainly from medical, surgical, dental and respiratory instruments and devices. Brazil and the United States were the main export destinations for the Argentine medical supplies.
Participation in this activity is framed within the federal international business promotion plan for SMEs conducted by the AAICI and the Argentine Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
